Studio Raketa 22 is an architectural studio founded in 2022 in Novi Sad, headed by architects Jelena Plačkov Škrbić and Lara Penc.
The name ,,rocket’’ came from the humorous approach to effectiveness and up-to-dateness of two colleagues who decided to enter the architectural design market together. And what we’re going to show you is just the beginning…
The Studio is engaged in architecture and interior design, following the basic priciples of functionality, aesthetics and form, which are interwoven with modern acquired knowledge in the field of design, technology, sustainability,… Until now, the basic practice was mainly based on the reconstruction of single-family and business buildings, as and on the design of new single-family buildings that essentially reflect the needs of the users, reflecting on the most optimal functional solution, interweaving with the design, so that the final effect is the ,,experience and reaction’’ of each user of the given space.
The Studio becomes a member of ASAP recognizing the values of the organization that gathers partners with unique knowledge and expertise, in order to develop, nurture and contribute to the development of architectural practice with the aim of exchainging knowledge and ideas and improving the local scene. The influence of this organization on the market contributes to the progress of each architectural practice individually.
Three project we would highlight:
- Reconstruction of business premises with a change of purpose
The reconstruction of the existing hall building in Novi Sad includes the adaption of the entire building in order to adapt it to a new function- office space for the needs of an IT company. A new floor slab was made so that the space could function on two levels, through which two atriums extend, connecting the building in a vertical sense as well. The form of the existing building has been retained, and the facade of the building influences the dynamism and playfulness of the seemingly simple cube of the former hall, providing users with a unique experience.
- Reconstruction and interior desing of the hotel
The reconstruction of the existing hotel buiding and the interior desing of the entire space were kind of challenge for us. The hotel is located in Novi Sad on Beogradski kej, in the presence of all the landmarks of this city, without being one of them. The starting poitn was to join all the features of the city, not to disappoint, to to bewitch, both with its external apprearance and internal. A complete reconstruction of all installations was carried out, adaptation of the space so as to obtain different spaces for public and private purposes. The interior design in pleasant and elegant, leaving enough space to ennoble the interior of its rooms with Žeželjev Bridge and Petrovaradin Fortress, the quay, the Danube and everything that makes it the flagship of a city.
- Reconstruction, extension and interior design of the indoor swimming pool of a single-family building
The project of reconstruction, extension and interior design of the indoor swiming pool of a single-family building required a careful analysis of the existing functioning of users and the needs that come with new functions, without disturbing the stability of the building, as well as the environment, considering that the building is located in a complex of semi-detached houses. The extension includes a swimming pool, sauna, shower and gym. A mini spa in the house, isn’t that something everyone would want in their home. The atmosphere of the spa centers was achieved through a thoughtful selection of materials, colors and textures, which contribute to a feeling of warmth and calm.
