“Take A Ride On A Green Side”, demistifikacija zelene gradnje. Zelena gradnja iz ugla investitora, konsultanta i arhitekte
Principi “zelene gradnje” i arhitektonsko preduzetništvo

Principles of „green construction“ and architectural entrepreneurship
„Green construction“ as a term has been present in public discourse for a relatively long time, but it also gained formal significance with the latest amendments to the Law on Planning and Construction, and it is completely clear that the formal obligations resulting from those amendments will affect the design approach. Unfortunately, „green building“ is talked about in our public in relation to the process of certification of buildings, the fulfillment of certain procedures, as well as the collection of certification points. As an organization, we believe that it is very important to conduct a dialogue on topics that will have a far-reaching impact on the further development of architectural creativity and entrepreneurship. We also realized how important it is for the professional development of the architectural community to be able to debate these topics with our guests who come from other professional spheres.
Green construction from a consultant’s point of view
Aleksandra Stefanović, a consultant from NET ZERO, presented the principles of „green“ and „sustainable construction“ primarily as a holistic approach to finding responsible solutions for the built environment, an approach that applies to buildings, their locations, their interiors, their operations and the communities in which they are located.
Consultant Aleksandar Tepavčević from ENER-tekt spoke about certification as a system of guidelines and sustainable strategies and that if we are guided by the principles of sustainability when designing, they will be integrated into design solutions and implemented without great costs and efforts. Thanks to his rich international experience, he spoke of „green construction“ as a new, great chance for architecture and the architectural profession, thanks to which he can offer new concepts and approaches to design and thereby redefine his importance and influence.
Green construction from the investor’s point of view
From Jovana Cvetković, director of development at MPC, we were able to hear to what extent the principles of sustainable construction and certification systems have influenced investments, access to site development, socially responsible projects and the company culture of a large real estate and development company like MPC.
Green construction from an architect’s point of view
Dragana Konstantinović, associate professor of FTN Novi Sad, shared with the attendees her experiences in cooperation with the City of Novi Sad administration on the project of reconstruction and transformation of a house of exceptional public importance and a monument of cultural heritage, what is Novi Sad’s SPENS and how public administrations relate to investments based on principles of „green construction“.
The final note of the event
We are convinced that our community needs more discussions on this topic and we believe that we will organize more such gatherings in Serbia with the Chamber of Commerce of Srbija, and on this occasion we thank them for their exceptional cooperation and hospitality.
