KontraStudio is a multidisciplinary studio for contemporary spatial design, founded in 2006 in Niš.
Studio deals with architectural and urban planning, as well as interior design and research in the field of design and architecture.
Through its activities, KontraStudio tries to improve the contemporary architectural expression of the environment in which it operates, and, through the form and design of the projects, to digress from the usual standards of local architectural practice.
As prominent awards and recognitions, the studio singles out:
- Grand prize, ARCHITECTURE TRIENNIALE, 2009 and 2015, Niš
- First prize CERESIT FASADE AWARD, 2015, Munich
- Award for Architecture, ARCHITECTURE SALON, 2016. Belgrade
- BIG SEE ARCHITECTURE AWARD 2022, Winner, Ljubljana
KontraStudio joined the ASAP association with the aim of protecting and improving the profession, creating a more favorable environment for business in the field of design, strengthening the influence of the domestic architectural profession in the country and abroad, as well as exchanging experience and knowledge.
