Abovus architects was founded by Maja and Ivan Stefanovic at the end of 2008. . While still studying and at the beginning of our careers, together with colleagues, we had participated in numerous local and international award-winning competitions, projects of various purposes and complexities, as well as coordination on larger projects.We concluded that it was necessary to come together as a team under one name. Later, in 2015, it was formalized as an architectural studio, and since then, we have been continuously growing. Although based in Belgrade, there are no boundaries for us.

Abovus is a studio engaged in architectural and engineering design, specialized consulting services for special-purpose facilities, retail andbusiness constant exploration and reflection in the fields of architecture, interior design, furniture design, and product design. Our desire is never to stop playing, and our professional, sincere approach with maximum dedication to each project and task are our strongest references and the reason for satisfied clients, as well as new opportunities. We look forward to the discovery of the process of conceptualization, ideas birth, and creation. We are inspired to discover the unexpected in the expected.

We are particularly proud of our research in the field of furniture and product design, where we have gone beyond and successfully completed the entire process from scratch, from idea to realization and market placement, with the product namedVal desk organizer.
Confirmations of this achievements include theBig SEE Product Design Award 2019, the Golden Key at the 57 th International Furniture,. and the Women’s Architectural Society (ŽAD) in the category of Multilayeredness at the exhibition held from December 3 – 9. rd to 9 th , 2019

Critical thinking and an attempt to unite, empower, and recognize architectural practice, especially in Serbia, to create a community of individuals, studios, smaller and larger teams that are stronger both locally and internationally when acting collectively, to share experiences and exchange knowledge, are all values and aspirations that Abovus shares with the ASAP organization.
